Mission Statement

We, the laity and the clergy of St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Community, are an enduring reflection of the body of Christ. We are a community joined together in a bond of Catholic Faith and worship. We are a people with an abundant mixture of cultural, educational, ethnic and economic backgrounds. We are primarily comprised of young to middle-aged families and singles, treasuring the heritage of our senior citizens and cherishing the newborns. We are united with the people and Bishop of our Diocese of Galveston-Houston, in union with the Pope and the universal Roman Catholic Church.

We are pilgrim people founded as a mission parish over 90 years ago in the town of Humble , Texas and continually guided by the Holy Spirit. Cultivated by the Eucharist, we are one family committed to sharing our individual talents, time and treasures within our parish, with the world community, in order to promote the dignity and the sanctity of human life. In the reality that our faith is always growing as we encounter life's experiences, we strive to continue to educate ourselves through renewal, deepening our commitment by proclaiming the Good News. We recognize the endowment of God's gifts to us and our responsibility as stewards to care for the needs of our fellow humans, our community, the universal Church, and the earth on which we live.
