Magdalene House

In the month of October, though your gifts, your Social Services Office was able to assist families in our parish area with a total of $14,618.44. $13,518.10 went to various electric companies, $86 was for gas, $59 for water, $100 for rent, $293 for transportation, $8 for medical and $554.34 for food. You helped feed 111 households with 311 persons. Thank you for your continued support and prayers. May God bless you all !

Magdalene House Information Outreach:  

·     CHIP/Children’s Medicaid—To find out more about free or low-cost medical care for your children, call 1-877-KIDS-NOW or go to the website: www.CHIPmedicaid.org.  Qualifying families will pay no more than $50 every six months.  Benefits include: choice of doctors, regular check-ups, prescriptions, shots, dental, eye exams and eyeglasses, emergency and hospital care.

·     Food Stamp Sign-Up—Apply for Food Stamps every Wednesday from 10:00 am –2:00 pm at H.A.A.M, 1302 First St. in Humble.

·     Post Your Open Positions—Parishioners who own their own business or are personnel managers or store managers in charge of hiring are welcome to fax (281-446-8213) open positions to Monica at St. Mary Magdalene for posting at Magdalene House. Please include all pertinent qualifications and info for the positions available.  No home healthcare or babysitting, please.
